2 sessions to reach the introductory phase of sailing, where the student gradually acquires the basic concepts and, with the help of an instructor, puts them into practice in a progressive and structured way. It is nothing more than the students’ first contact with the sport of sailing where, the fact of changing medium, of sailing, of being propelled by the wind while exercising and working in a group, causes unknown and, at the same time, pleasant sensations to flourish that make this sport unique. 2nd semester: Friday, April 25 from 10 am to 5 pm, Friday, May 9 from 10 am to 5 pm
Attention! Dates pending weather conditions, if it could not be done on these dates, we would look for other options with the registered participants. Evaluation: 100% mandatory attendance (*) and throughout the schedule and passing the final course evaluation. * If for major reasons you miss any of the sessions, you can make up for it by meeting with the teacher.

Information
Price: SdE members 119 euros / non-members 159 euros.
Minimum for a group to be formed is 8 registrations.

Required material:
• Comfortable and waterproof clothing.

• Suitable footwear for indoor use (white sole or non-slip).

• Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses with support.

• Food and drinks for meals on board.

Program development:
• Day 1 (7 hours): Boat trip with theoretical introduction, knowledge of the boat, knot practice, recognition of the maritime weather forecast and basic maneuvers.
• Day 2 (7 hours): Boat trip to work on navigation in different conditions, practice safety, advanced maneuvers and with a final test where each participant must make a brief presentation or logbook on one of the topics worked on.

L'entrada CENSUS OF PROTECTED SPECIES OF BIRDS, WHALES AND SHARKS. ha aparegut primer a Vadevela.

]]> VADEVELA  collaborate with the Generalitat de Catalunya in an important environmental project focused on the conservation of marine wildlife. As part of this initiative, VADEVELA is providing the sailboat BREEZE to support the CENSUS OF PROTECTED SPECIES of birds, whales, and sharks in the waters of the Catalan Sea.

This CENSUS OF PROTECTED SPECIES will be conducted between 2024 and 2026 in key areas where these animals are most concentrated. The goal is to analyze how their populations change over time and to assess the potential threats they face. One major concern is the impact of accidental catches, which pose a risk to biodiversity. By tracking these species over multiple years, researchers will gain insights into migration patterns, population stability, and human-induced pressures such as fishing and maritime activity. This data will be crucial for shaping future conservation efforts.

Additionally, the project will examine the role of fish farms in the Catalan Sea as potential feeding areas for wildlife. As aquaculture expands, scientists are eager to understand whether these farms provide a reliable food source for marine species or create unforeseen ecological challenges.

By supporting the CENSUS OF PROTECTED SPECIES, VADEVELA reinforces its commitment to sustainability and marine conservation. The findings from this research will help inform policies aimed at preserving the rich biodiversity of the Catalan Sea. This collaboration highlights the importance of scientific research, responsible maritime activities, and proactive conservation efforts to protect vulnerable species for future generations.

RACE ACTIVITY / OUTDOOR SAILING / TEAMBUILDING

We organize activities for companies, to foster trust and teamwork. We can adapt the activities by organizing a “mini regatta” with two or more sailboats. Sailing encourages teamwork, cohesion and cooperation of the crew is the key to achieving a good position. The pace of navigation goes from 0 to 100 in a few moments, stimulates attention and makes this activity especially fun.

We leave Palamós to the north and sail through some of the most beautiful places in the Baix Empordà: s’Algue, Illes Formigas and Cala Castell. During the sailing, the instructors will explain how the sailboat works, while you will be able to steer and maneuver. We stop in Cala Castell to swim or have a snack.

  • Low degree of difficulty.
  • Open to all ages.
  • No experience required.
  • Groups: up to 8-9 people: 1 sailboat;
  • From 10 to 18 people: 2 sailboats;
  • From 19 to 27 people: 3 sailboats;
  • From 28 to 36 people: 4 sailboats.
